Saturday voting hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weekday hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Early voting by mail for any reason continues through July 27, and voters can request one of the three ballots – Republican, Democratic or nonpartisan – by mail or fax from the elections office.
All three ballots include a referendum on the new 1 percent sales tax for transportation. If an Aug. 21 runoff becomes necessary, voters cannot switch parties between the July 31 election and the runoff.
Columbia County voters can also head to the polls Saturday to cast their ballots for the July 31 primary election.
In Columbia County, Saturday voting is from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Board of Elections office, 500 Faircloth Drive, Building E, of the Evans Government Complex.
Two satellite locations also will be open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday. They are at Patriots Park, 5445 Columbia Road, Grovetown, and Savannah Rapids Pavilion, 3300 Evans-to-Locks Road, Martinez.
Voters can also cast ballots at those locations between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through July 27.
