Poll sites open Saturday for advance voting in Richmond and Columbia counties

Voters can cast a ballot in advance for the July 31 general primary and nonpartisan election Saturday at three locations in Richmond County.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., polls will be open at the following sites:

• Board of Elections Main Office, 530 Greene Street, Room 104

• Henry Brigham Recreation Center, 2463 Golden Camp Road

• Warren Road Recreation Center, 300 Warren Road.

In Columbia County, voting will be available from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Board of Elections Office at 500 Faircloth Drive, Bldg. E in Evans; Patriots Park at 5445 Columbia Road in Grovetown and Savannah Rapids Pavillion at 3300 Evans to Locks Road in Martinez.

Voters need an acceptable form of photo identification and must choose a party preference if voting in the general primary. Sample ballots are available on the Georgia Secretary of State’s web site, www.sos.ga.gov.

This Saturday is the only weekend to vote in advance. Advance voting continues Monday through July 27.
