Flooding reported in Augusta areas

Flooding has been reported in several areas around Augusta leaving several roads unsafe for travel, according to a news release from Richmond County Emergency Management.

Central Avenue at 15th Street is closed. Flooding was also reported on Laurel Street at Wrightsboro Road, Central Avenue at Emmett Street, 2300 Olive Road, Third Avenue at Laney-Walker Boulevard, the 400 block of Ellis Street, Lombardy Court at Lake Forest Drive, Highway 25 at Harding Road, 1757 and 1763 Brown Road, Victoria Drive, Lumpkin Road at Peach Orchard Road and Coleman Avenue at Virginia Avenue.
