Richmond County elections board hopes to trim polling sites, changes affect 2014 voting

The Richmond County Board of Elections says its proposed 2013 precinct plan – which has reduced the number of polling places – is available for review and feedback on its home page, www.augustaga.gov/elections.

The plan would add an advance voting site at Diamond Lakes Regional Park and consolidate certain Election Day polling sites, reducing the number from 50 to 44. Any changes resulting from the proposed plan will be effective for the 2014 election cycle.
