Former Augusta supervisor finalist for Albany, Ga., assistant city manager job

A former maintenance manager in Augusta is a finalist for assistant city manager in Albany, Ga., according to news reports there.

On Monday, WFXL-TV in Albany reported Dennis L. Stroud as one of three finalists for assistant city manager in the southwest Georgia city.

Stroud worked under former Public Services Director Mike Greene until the department was eliminated last year. Stroud then obtained a transfer to a deputy director slot under Director Tom Beck in the revamped Recreation, Parks and Facilities Department.

Stroud is no longer employed with the city but his job was not eliminated, Beck has said.
