The Richmond County Board of Education is ready to announce its finalists for superintendent.

At 5 p.m. Monday, the board will hold a meeting to present the candidate names for school superintendent, according to a media release. The school board interviewed in private applicants to replace Frank Roberson on July 25-26 but must hold a public vote to reduce the number to the top three candidates.

Roberson’s last day will be Aug. 22. Roberson was hired in August 2010, and his contract was renewed for one more year during a 2013 school board meeting

No superintendent will make an impact on education if the kids parents aren't involved. It's got to start in the home and no teacher, superintendent or power on earth will change that.
