NOMINATOR’S NOTE: “Students like Ellen are far too rare. She is the type of student that initially makes teachers want to enter the teaching field, and then for veteran teachers, she is the type of student that encourages us to stay in this profession. For Ellen, there is no such thing as just getting a job done or just finishing an assignment. Everything she does will be done to perfection.”
Miranda Murphey, Ed.S., English teacher and department chair
