AWARDS AND HONORS: Valedictorian, County STAR Student, Silver at Nationals Ag Sales FFA, Highest Individual Ag Comm FFA, 3rd Place in State Agribusiness FBLA, 4th State Business Ethics FBLA, Youth of the Year Exchange Club, Governor’s Honors

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES: Emanuel Arts Council, First Baptist Church, vacation Bible school, Red Ribbon Week, Emanuel County Historical Society, animal shelter, Citizen’s Bank Advisory Board, Operation Christmas Child, soup kitchen

COLLEGE/CAREER: Alec plans to attend Georgia Tech in the fall and hopes to graduate with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering. He plans to pursue a career in pharmaceutical development.

OF NOTE: Alec is a
full-time dual-enrolled
student at East Georgia State College and will graduate high school with over 20 college credit hours.

NOMINATOR’S NOTE: “Alec is a reliable and self-motivated young man who is well deserving of this honor. I had the pleasure of having Alec in my 10th grade and 11th grade Language Arts classes. Not only was he an exceptional student, but he also helped others whenever the need arose. His fellow classmates as well as other students at ECI look up to him as a positive role model. His fellow classmates recently voted him as the “Most Likely to Succeed” and “The Most Intelligent” in his senior class” – Regina Taylor, ECI Language Arts teacher
