TB skin-testing begins at Hephzibah High

Tuberculosis skin-testing of students and employees at Hephzibah High School started Monday, with 111 tested so far out of a total 200.

The tests were organized after a Hephzibah student showed symptons of the disease last week. Those who have not been tested yet will be tested on Wednesday.

Tammy Burdeaux, district nursing and clinical director of the East Central Health District, said it may take “10 days to two weeks” before testing is completed and concrete results are available.
