The Richmond County Board of Education met in executive session Tuesday to discuss the performance of Superintendent Frank Roberson for his upcoming evaluation.

The pre-evaluation meeting held behind closed doors was a chance for Roberson to show evidence of progress toward system goals. Board members discussed where he has succeeded and where they want to see improvement, board member Jimmy Atkins said.

They will reconvene in March to assign scores for the areas on the evaluation instrument, which is not subject to open records laws. The board will however be able to release which areas Roberson has performed well and where change is needed.
