Augusta Preparatory Day School exceeded its $1 million endowment fundraising campaign with a $500,000 anonymous matching gift.

The matching gift was made by a parent and grandparent who made an initial $500,000 contribution to the school’s Framing the Fiftieth Campaign, according to a news release from the school. The campaign, launched in February 2011 to celebrate the school’s 50th anniversary, raised slightly more than $1.5 million.

Almost 100 donors participated in the campaign. Augusta Prep’s endowment supports its academic programs and faculty professional development.

Augusta Prep is the premier

Augusta Prep is the premier school in the area. My friend's son went there and then went onto Harvard. My public school educated son ended up at a land grant institution.

Riverman you are correct...

it is a very good school. But the majority of their graduates also go to land grants (i.e. UGA). In addition, two students from Hephzibah and one from Butler also have been admitted to Harvard. You can get a great education anywhere. The key ingredients are genetics and motivation.
