A 2008 John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School graduate received a fellowship to work with MDC, a national nonprofit focusing on economic equality and reducing poverty.

Augusta native Beth Caldwell was awarded the 2012-2013 Autry Fellow, which is given to recent college graduates who are interested in improving opportunities for people and places struggling to keep pace with economic and social change.

Caldwell graduated from Brown University in 2012. She will work as a full-time, paid staff member beginning this month with MDC based in Durham, N.C.
