Paine College offering summer chemistry course for middle, high school students

Paine College will offer a free summer chemistry course for middle and high school students from June 19 to July 31, according to a news release.

The six-week, one-hour course will cover the basic concepts of chemistry through instruction and demonstration. It is designed to prepare students with basic knowledge for science courses. The class will be held at Mary Helm Hall on Paine’s campus, Room 207, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

The class is offered by Dr. Sardar Yousufzai, an assistant professor of chemistry, physics and environmental sciences at Paine College. Space is limited for the program, which is now accepting students. To enroll, call (706) 860-8992 or send an e-mail to
