Richmond County magnet schools recruiting students for 2012-13 school year

Two Richmond County magnet schools are recruiting students for the 2012-13 school year.

John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School is accepting applications for grades six through 12.

Interested families must apply by 4 p.m. Jan. 31. Applications and audition information are available at the school at 615 12th St. or on its Web site at www.davidsonfinearts.org.

A.R. Johnson Health Sciences and Engineering Magnet School is holding an open house for prospective students at 5:30 p.m Jan. 19 on campus at 1324 Laney-Walker Blvd.

Staff will hold a question and answer session at 5:30 p.m. and a tour from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Applications are available at the open house and at arjohnson.rcboe.org.
