Richmond County school board to hold legislative breakfast

 The Richmond County Board of Education will meet Tuesday morning with members of the Augusta Legislative Delegation, school board President Alex Howard announced Monday.

The breakfast meeting will take place at 7:30 a.m. at Pine Hill Middle School, 2147 McElmurray Road in Hephzibah.

The purpose is to discuss and finalize the school system’s priorities for the 2012 legislative session.

Also Tuesday, the school board’s Pay As You Go Committee will meet at 4 p.m. in the board conference room on the first floor of the district administration building, 864 Broad St.

The agenda includes technology priorities and recommendations and a transportation proposal, as well as discussion on the district’s purchasing department and a presentation by Jeff Pullium, the media specialist at John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School.
