Power outage forces summer camp to move

Because a power company cannot give Richmond County school system officials an estimate of when power will be restored to Sue Reynolds Elementary School, the location of the IDEA program has been changed for today.

According to a news release , the program will be held at Diamond Lakes Elementary School, 4153 Windsor Spring Road.

The switch brings a few changes in transportation for pupils attending IDEA, the Interdisciplinary da Vinci Enrichment Academy.

For bus riders, drivers will pick up their routes and report to Diamond Lakes this morning. At the end of the day, buses will run their routes and deliver the children to their normal stops.

A bus will pick up car riders at Reynolds, 3840 Wrightsboro Road, by 9 a.m. and transport them to Diamond Lakes. For dismissal, the bus will deliver students back to Reynolds by 3 p.m. for pickup.
