An Augusta woman is accused of armed robbery after a man had two cellphones and his pants stolen early Sunday, police say.

Jasmine Green, 20, of Clark Street, is charged with felony armed robbery, according to Richmond County jail records.

Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were called to Krystal’s at 2537 Peach Orchard Road about 5 a.m., according to an incident report.

Flenoise Luckie, 19, told police he was walking on Peach Orchard when a black Dodge Neon with chrome rims cut him off. Inside were two black males and two black females, and one of the males got out and brandished a handgun.

The gunman told Luckie to remove his shoes and pants, which contained $25 and the two phones. After Luckie ran off, the gunman fired one shot before leaving in the vehicle.

Deputies found the vehicle with a flat tire about three hours later while on patrol. The car’s owner, Joseph Green, told police that his daughter called him about the flat tire about 5:30 a.m. Green’s wife and daughter were picked up by deputies to be interviewed.

A perfect example of

Where a CWP & a 9mm MP Shield would have solved the problem.

If my daughter was living

If my daughter was living under my roof, she wouldn't be out at 530 am. And, if she happened to be, she would not be in my vehicle. Under my roof, by my rules. Don't like it, move out.

A Couple of Items

@nocnoc -- Mr. Luckie is not old enough to possess a CWP, nor is he old enough to legally carry a Shield. Lastly, we don't know if Mr. Luckie is lucky enough to possess either, even if he was twenty-one. Gotta watch out for those Krystal Kravings.....@ 5:30 AM.

perplexed

I'm perplexed. How did picked up for questioning get to arrested according to the headlines? Where did the wife come into the picture? Where were the other two men? Was he getting off from work or was she going to work? If the man had the gun why was only the woman charged with armed robbery? According to the alledged victim, "Inside were two black males and two black females, and one of the males got out and brandished a handgun.

The gunman told Luckie to remove his shoes and pants, which contained $25 and the two phones. After Luckie ran off, the gunman fired one shot before leaving in the vehicle". Really sounds odd to me.
