An arrest warrant says a Hephzibah woman let her 2-year-old son – who later died – lie unresponsive for three hours before seeking medical attention.

Officials said an autopsy, which was being conducted Monday in Atlanta, will determine whether further charges are warranted.

Police have released few details in the case, but according to a police report, the toddler was being disciplined in the corner of his room when he fell to the floor. Smith told police he has a syndrome that causes him to hold his breath until he passes out.

An arrest warrant gives further details. It states that Smith picked up the child and shook him, then slapped him in the face in an attempt to revive him because he has breath holding syndrome. Three hours later, she sought medical attention, the warrant says.

At the hospital, medical staffers found retinal hemorrhaging behind both of the boy’s eyes, minimal brain activity, healing rib fractures on the right side and a herniated bleed on the left side of the brain.

there is nothing that justifies

There is nothing that justifies why the mother delayed in seeking medical treatment for her son. The is not a logical rhyme or logical reason why she waited to have her son treated.

Juice Her !

HEALING rib fractures, retinal bleeds on both eyes, waiting three hours. Juice her. Smells like abuse to me. Poor kid. There is a special place in Hell for child abusers. If proven, may she have a quick trip. Of course, we have to get our infamous DA to do her job. We'll see. I smell a plea bargain.

Sounds like this

"mother" was using this innocent child as a punching bag.....I cannot imagine the pain and confusion that this little boy must have felt as this creature saw fit to abuse him.......

How anyone can abuse a child

How anyone can abuse a child is beyond my comprehension. Satan is alive and well in this world, and it shows in the lives of evil people like her.
