The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office had been seeking the teens for their involvement in the shooting and robbery of a man on Amos Court about 7 p.m. The victim, who was shot in the upper thigh, said they left in a gold Chevrolet Tahoe.

South Carolina authorities located Carlos Flores, 18, and a unidentified juvenile female on Interstate 20 in Batesburg, S.C., on Thursday, according to a news release. They were riding in the Tahoe, which police learned had been reported stolen from North Augusta.

Flores has been charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The juvenile’s charges have been forwarded to family court.

Both suspects have outstanding charges with North Augusta Department of Public Safety and are in the department’s custody.

Several agencies assisted in the arrest.
