The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is searching for four suspects following an armed robbery at an area apartment complex Tuesday.

Approximately 11:29 a.m., Marcus Young III told deputies he was hit with a handgun “twice in the mouth and under his chin” before being robbed at gunpoint on the 2400 block of Amsterdam Drive, according to a Richmond County incident report.

The suspects are accused of stealing $30, as well as Young’s credit card, driver’s license and Nike shoes.

Young told deputies he was sitting in a car with his girlfriend when a blue PT Cruiser approached them. Following a brief conversation with one of the suspects, another suspect exited the PT Cruiser and pointed a handgun at Young. Young was then beaten with the handgun and robbed, the report said.

Three suspects have been named in the robbery: Jonathan Wells, 20, of Bream Avenue in Augusta, Rashawn Miller, 19, of Fawn Drive in Augusta, and Augusta resident Skye Thomas. The fourth suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-9 with a slim build who is in his late teens.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1020 or dispatch at (706) 821-1080.

Question 11:30 "AM" or "PM"

Even for Barton Chapel Village 11:30AM is unusual.
Besides a BOB we may also have a "COC" Cousin on Cousin since every body seems to know everybody.

HUMOR (using a typically misapplied word)
There must be a bunch of racists in Barton Chapel Village.
I never see them robbing, assaulting, shooting a white person there.

What ? Are white people not good enough to be robbed, shoot or beat up. This is out right discrimination.

"Now they are robbing people

"Now they are robbing people in broad daylight."

You ain't seen nothing yet. There is no limit to how bad things will get when there is no fear of any punishment. + 4 living the dream on the south side.

Just goes to show you the kind of neighbors you can acquire when you let the "city" blow your tax money on downtown redevelopment. What people have not figured out is that it has little to do with redevelopment.....it's a mass criminal and low life relocation program.. ....and TAG South Augusta....YOU'RE IT. Welcome to Cherry Tree South. Say HOWDY NEIGHBORS. Oh wait.....he's not sticking his hand out to shake hands.....there's a gun in it. GIVE IT UP.....are you kidding....the City has already robbed us.
