Suspect sought in North Augusta armed robbery

Deputies are searching for a male suspect following an armed robbery late Tuesday in North Augusta.

At 11:10 p.m., North Augusta Department of Public Safety officers responded to the Shell Station at 10307 Atomic Road in reference to a man brandishing a handgun and leaving with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Sgt. David Bunch.

The suspect – last seen fleeing the business on foot – was wearing a black shirt and black mask, Bunch said.

No one was injured and no additional description was provided.
