Valencia Shanquinn Logan, 23, has been charged with simple battery and criminal trespass, according to a statement from Richmond County Sheriff’s Sgt. Michael McDaniel. Sharonda Rachelle Williams, 23, was charged with battery, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

The charges stem from an altercation Tuesday night in the parking lot of Smart Grocery on the 3200 block of Wrightsboro Road.

The sheriff’s office gang task force made the arrests.

What a disgusting display of

What a disgusting display of human nothingness! And, amongst all the animalistic and hysterical chaos, was a small child walking around between all the "adults" involved in the fight! Actually, I have to admit to myself that I wasn't really surprised to see the little boy there! In fact, I rather expected it.
Honestly, to me, this is NOT so much a racial issue...it's a CLASS issue, and I'm not talking about economic class either. White or black, people at this level are just a bunch of low-life thugs. Their view of the value of life is pretty dismal, petty, and selfish. Absolutely no reasoning with them because they can't comprehend life without acting like this. They may pretend to, but sooner or later, their true ways will come through. They claim they have to live like that in order to "survive out there". Bull.
Another sad fact is that I pretty much grew up in that part of Augusta...right on Wrightsboro Road, close to Jackson Road. Man has the neighborhood changed! It's a ghetto now, because of them.

I often remind people the bias and condemnation is towards CULTURE, not race. Behavior like this is a cultural trait, and not confined to people with a particular pigmentation.

disgusting

Everyday I am amazed with these stories. It's a fine line between these people and the atrocities we've seen recently in Iraq and Sudan and Somalia. It seems like any kind of behavior goes...The first word that comes to mind is savages...geez...very disappointed in mankind

Augusta Chronicle - Follow Up

Augusta Chronicle, lets see some real reporting and follow up on the Ryan Houston WRDW Story because the Media should really police the other outlets although that is rare to non-existent.

Ryan Houston of WRDW stated that the RCSO was refusing to investigate this but according to the RCSO they were investigating it from the moment the video was relayed to them by officers. As a matter of fact, the RCSO FB Page had a post of an arrest at about the same time News 12 was saying there was no investigation.

Ryan goes on to show that a sub station is 3 minutes away but that the fight lasted almost 4 minutes and that RCSO should have done something but according to 911 NO Calls Were Received.

This sensationalism in reporting combined with outright misleading information and false information SHOULD BE a story within itself.

News 12 does this often with various stories but particularly seems to provide inaccurate and misleading information regarding law enforcement services provided in this community. Watch his news story and then tell us the truth because we sure aren't getting it from Ryan Houston or news 12.

The club had just let out and many of those people don't live near that part of Wrightsboro or in Richmond.

ANIMAL
Unpublished

This woman is an animal with no offense intended to animals. It's too bad someone with the woman that was so viciously beaten wasn't carrying and put her down. The courts in Augusta will go easy on her but if she was my daughter I wouldn't.

One of several no fly zones

One of several no fly zones after dark we have designated. If we go to any of the food establishments in that area there is a defined time not to be there , gangs own that turf . Its not a new trend , been that way for years and the people who hang there want it that way.

what sickens me the most....

People use their phone as a camera and not as a phone to call the cops. ....it's sad to see how some people want to watch a fight instead of stop a fight.

Ignorant savages

These illiterate fools have no ability to compete in civilized society. They are both unable and unwilling to resolve any conflict except through violence. Unfortunately, taxpayers will be footing the bill for these trolls until they graduate from fists to guns

''If we go to any of the food establishments in that area there is a defined time not to be there, gangs own that turf.. Its not a new trend , been that way for years and the people who hang there want it that way.''

Are you joking? Where are these gangs at lol?? This was a fight between a sixteen year old girl and 24 year old woman.. The RCSO has identified several gangs in Richmond County and none of them are located in this area. The new Wife Saver under construction or the Walmart wouldn't decided to open in the area if gangs own turf down the road lol..

This part of Wrightsboro rd is less affluent compared to the Daniel Village or Augusta mall areas, but it's still nowhere close to being a poor area..

The median income of the Wrightsboro rd area near this incident is around $40,000... The only cheaper apartment complexes are Fox Den/Heritage and none of them have any neighborhood gangs.. People are quick to generalize an entire area in Richmond County simply based on race...

Keep your head in the sand

Keep your head in the sand Countyman...... For my families safety we keep our eyes open . Median income has no influence on the activities I've seen . Who should I believe my lying eyes or where Wifesaver builds . We'll call them Clique members if it makes you feel better but they wear the same uniform. My opinion was based on years of observation of a place I visit regularly instead of a facebook post your opinion my vary .

Isn't the "failing" Food Lion

Isn't the "failing" Food Lion right across the street from this "affluent" neighborhood? Hasn't the Christenberry Fieldhouse right up the street been broken into twice in the last few weeks? How many Applebee's have you ever seen fail? There is one mere minutes from this wonderful neighborhood.

Why don't you want to believe

Why don't you want to believe the RCSO? They have a gang task force dedicated to finding them. None of the homicides this year are in the area. Yes, a couple of sketchy apartments are right off Wrightsboro, but other complexes nearby are fine. The $200k homes in Kingston, $700(1 br) apartments in Woodhill, and the recently build Enclave are right off Jackson road.. What is the same uniform they wear? I don't see any groups of people wearing black, red, or blue.. Almost every young black male is a gang member if the 'uniform' is urban fashion..

The Food Lion in Evans closed and two Food Lion stores failed in Martinez. The Food Lion off Old Petersburg road has been empty for over a year. There's plenty of areas in the CSRA with more than two property crimes within 1/2 months.. Where's all the armed robberies or shootings?

People are quick to generalize parts of RC, but are silent about the surrounding counties.. Why can 1 or 2 sketchy areas in RC automatically equals the ghetto? Why not hold South Belair(Ridge Crossing), Washington rd near Target(apts across the street), or along Old Evans/Old Petersburg/Blue Ridge( Wedgewood, Shenadoah Ridge) to the same standards?

How do you know

Where people leaving a club are from? That's about the biggest load of nonsense ever. This area is nowhere near as bad as the Gordon highway regency mall area but it's pretty bad.

Why don't you want to believe

Why don't you want to believe the RCSO? I have no reason to dispute what they know but I know what I see . I care about safety as I roam in and about in the community I live in . Factoids don't tell the story ask the people who live there for the complete story . I have frequented the businesses in that area of Wrightsboro Rd. for years if its not on the RCSO radar it should be .

burninater, I'll go ahead and

burninater, I'll go ahead and comment on yours first....I brought up that this isn't a racial issue and you said "then why bring it up?"..well, it's for comments like yours that people just can't wait to jump on something and make it an argument. You know as well as I do that, eventually it'd come up.
To countyman, you're off on this one, man. And I DO feel qualified to put in my 2 cents worth because, like I said, I DID live around there. To see it now is a sad, scary thing. Hoodlums have denigrated the neighborhood, and brought shame and fear to it. They can't see that THEY are either the reasons for it or that they are coddling the hoodlums.
countyman? Would YOU want to live there now???
