Augusta shoplifting suspect sought

Police are searching for a man suspected of shoplifting Wednesday from Family Dollar on Wrightsboro Road.

Police said the man left the store without paying for a cart full of merchandise about 8:15 p.m. His image was captured on a surveillance video.

Anyone with information on the suspect can contact the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1080 or Investigator Angela Gates at (706) 821-1088.
