Christina Smith, 25, was last seen running into the McDonald’s at Dean Bridge Road and Gordon Highway on Wednesday, where she asked to use a customer’s cell phone to contact her mother, according to a statement from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a customer, Smith had visible injuries to her face.

Smith’s mother reported Smith advised that her boyfriend, Patrick Ryan Beaver, was chasing and threatening her.

According to the mother, Christina Smith ended the conversation after being advised to call the police. Smith’s mother has not heard from or seen her daughter since the phone call.

Smith’s mother stated that Smith is pregnant – approximately 5 to 6 months, with Beaver’s child.

RCSO did not receive a phone call from Smith, and no one observed a male with Smith at McDonald’s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office or the on call Violent Crimes Investigator at (706) 821-1020 or (706) 821-1080.

Smith is described as 5-foot-3, 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

WHY?

If she was allowed to use the phone and contact her mother why didn't her mother or the person allowing her to make the call contact the RCSD? Someone in visible distress with injuries should not be counted on to make a good decision in this situation.
