Colorado is rolling in tax proceeds from legalizing pot.

And crime is down 10%.

Why are we arresting people for this?

Silence seems loud

I am taking note that our daily posters are quiet today. Where is all the Section 8, welfare, and food stamp talk now? Immorality has no race, no gender, and no address!!

OJP...wrong question. We are arresting people for this because it is against the law. Law enforcement makes arrests based on the law. I know people are confused here lately since the top law enforcer in the nation seems to think he can pic and choose which laws to enforce and to not enforce.

NOW....if you want the law changed, that is an entirely different discussion, but until then, don't expect the police to make decisions on which laws they should enforce.

OJP, do you understand that

OJP, do you understand that selling Schedule II drugs is a crime, because they can kill people?

Do you understand that not paying taxes on income is illegal?

Do you understand that people dealing in those quantities are criminals, and isn't somebody that wants to recreationally use marijuana?

Do you understand that most of the murders in the CSRA are drug-related, and those morons sooner or later would wind up either dead or in prison?

THAT"S why they were arrested!

So, Dixieman, apparently Blanchard Road is Drug Alley. Too bad that's where the soccer fields are located, deep down in those woods...

I still don't get it?

I still don't get it? In a supposedly free country; where people can decide that they shouldn't have been born male or female and have a government sponsored sex change operation, how is it that people aren't free to do anything else they want to themselves? It just doesn't make any sense. I'll say it again: If you aren't free to do whatever to yourself that your little heart desires, you are not free.

Mr. Gary

When the typical results of "do whatever to yourself that your little heart desires" has dramatic effects on the the citizens of your area, then there are and should be laws against it. Drugs NEVER effect the user only, that's just the truth. It effects all of us, from DUI's on the street to people stealing to support their addiction. We ALL pay for the drug epidemic in this Country.

Although I will say this;

Although I will say this; government is the worlds worst at "It's ok for me to do it, but not the citizens."

We are constantly bombarded with radio and tv commercials PROMOTING gambling, via the Georgia or SC lottery!! Saying YOU could be the next 15 million dollar winner!! Your life would never be happier than scratching off this ticket, so buy it today!! Then, towards the end they tell you to make sure and play responsibly!!

So, the STATES can advertise gambling, but you and I can't have a get together and play Texas Holdem for small stakes (.25 per chip)? They tell us we CAN play THEIR game responsibly, giving them our money!! BUT, no way they are letting us be responsible at our home and host a game. I'm not talking about a game where the host takes a percentage, just a friends game.

Navy Gary, a person that

Navy Gary, a person that wants a sex change operation doesn't hurt anybody and isn't doing anything illegal.

Drug dealers ruin neighborhoods, cities, and people's lives.

That's the difference, and if you can't understand that, I don't know what to tell you.
