Two robbed at gunpoint in Richmond County

Deputies are searching for a pair of suspects following an armed robbery Monday in Richmond County.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Tobacco Road, where two victims had been robbed at gunpoint, according to a Richmond County incident report.

The victim’s stated they were sitting in a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am when the suspects approached the vehicle wearing all dark clothing and hoodies.

One suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victims, who complied by handing over their cell phones, debit cards and currency, according to the report.

Deputies later spoke with one of the victims who stated his Bank of America debit card had been used at Wal-Mart.

I am sure they did not go very far before they checked to see if the cards had any money on them so they either went to Deans Bridge or Waynesboro AutumnLeaves!

Walmart has cameras everywhere from parking lot till your out the door. LE may want to check it out.
