More than $1,000 in cash and other items are missing after a weekend break-in at Georgia Regents University’s Christenberry Fieldhouse.

A campus officer was called to the facility on Vanover Drive around 10:45 a.m. Saturday after basketball coach Dip Metress noticed the main office had been forced open, according to an incident report.

The officer observed the office’s door open and the room in disarray. Two vending machines on the second floor of the facility had also been vandalized. One of the machines had a shattered glass door.

On Monday, GRU police were notified that a gas card, key to a transport van and safe with $1,500 in cash had also been stolen from the office.

Guess they need alarms if campus police are too busy to shake doors.

Negativity and Lies!

This could not have happened... one only needs to view the demographics for this area to know that we have the only PF Changs, Sephora, Apple, H&M and Michael Kors outside of the Atlanta Metro less that 2 miles away!

The affluent neighborhoods of Summerville and all of their disposable income keep crime at bay!
