A woman who used stolen identities to file fraudulent income tax documents was sentenced Wednesday to nearly four years in prison.

Tracy Dupree pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Augusta last fall, admitting her role in defrauding the Internal Revenue Service.

Judge J. Randal Hall sentenced Dupree to 46 months in prison. He also ordered her to repay $84,796 in restitution, but noted her financial situation means full restitution is unlikely. Dupree will have three years on supervised release once she completes the prison term.

She should have to pull the

She should have to pull the 46 months and THEN be put on work release, reporting back to prison every night and on weekends, until EVERY nickel was paid back.

FairTax !

Passing the FairTax Amendment in Congress would put an end to these type of cases.

This woman should have been given a stiffer sentence. She'll come out and go back to stealing again. Soft sentences from soft judges. Throw them all out and get some people on the bench that will send a strong message to the crooks.

Why The Thumbs Down ??

Why the thumbs down on 'curly 123053' post? He is right. The Fair Tax will get rid of the IRS as we know it, and they will not be available to steal from. Read the book !!

FairTax !

The FairTax will make filing tax returns a thing of the past and there will no longer be a chance for anyone to commit fraud while filing tax returns.
