Mother upset after finding 17-year-old with tattoo

  • Follow Crime & courts

An Augusta woman got an early Mother’s Day surprise Saturday when she found out an unknown man tattooed her 17-year-old daughter, police say.

Charlotte Middlebrook told Richmond County sheriff’s deputies that within the past three months, someone tattooed the letter “K” on her daughter’s stomach, according to an incident report.

When she asked who did the tattoo, the teen said she didn’t know who the man was but that he was a black male who lives in an apartment behind Regency Mall.

Under Georgia law, it is illegal to tattoo someone younger than 18 unless you are a licensed physician or osteopath. Any person found in violation of the law can be charged with a misdemeanor.

Raise them right they do right

Some one fill me in ..... Is "K" a gang sign.

The ... teen said she didn’t know who the man was but that he was a black male who lives in an apartment behind Regency Mall.

OK Mama maybe it time to move or keep a better EYE on your daughters activities.

Because Tats just don't JUMP UP and apply themselves to a person. She had to of been laying down in the UNKNOWN Mans apartment, and for some time.

More than likely your daughter has been Branded by her boy friend.

Take control

Sounds as if Mother's Day is a great time for this mom to reinforce her role and take charge of her daughter.

Mothers Day

The lack of self-esteem that young people have today is evident in the number of them that scar themselves. This is a cry for help that is unanswered by their parents. Police love tattoos because it makes criminals easy to Id. Tattoos make people easy to be criminals because normal people reject people with tattoos. It is a complete circle. A sad, complete circle. This “mother” should be jailed for child neglect, today, on Mothers Day.

Why on earth

is "a licensed physician or osteopath" allowed to tattoo someone under 18?
What is the purpose of that insane law??

Dixieman, sometimes people who are receiving cancer treatment

and lose all of their hair tattoos can be used to recreate eyebrows or other hair features. Also they can be used to create an areola on a reconstructed breast. Also they are used to mark points on the body for radiation therapy so that they can be assured that they are aiming their cameras in the same place during the course of therapies.

I am sure there are other places to use these techniques.

Dixieman, tattooes are also

Dixieman, tattooes are also used if a child has a prominent birthmark or an area that isn't pigmented.

There is nothing insane about that law.

The girl is either lying that

The girl is either lying that she doesn't know the dude's name or she is dumber than a sack of rocks.

Well.....

Well, @ least it wasn't a full-blown tramp stamp. I would tend to lean toward the branding thing.
