At 3:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 1800 block of Cooney Circle where the victims said they were standing outside when a tan sport utility vehicle drove onto the curb and almost struck the women, according to a report from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

The victims say five males and four females exited the vehicle and the men began attacking one of the victims. The other victim was struck in the face while attempting to break up the altercation, the report said.

Deputies observed marks on both victims and are searching for the SUV.

The AC gave a description of the perps vehicle but why did they neglect to give a description of the offenders?

so classy

Wow-so how early do you all get up to come up with clever comments like these? Unless we are reading different article, I didn't see anything in the one I read that warranted such snide remarks. No sympathy, nothing. These could have been 2 women waiting for a ride to work or leaving church over there. And you question their being around at 3:30? Obviously you aren't working too hard if you have time to play on the computer and criticize others. Get it together, people.

Nine people? For some reason I had a visual of one of those Ringling Bros. clown cars ... sorry.
