About 2:30 p.m., Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 3800 block of Crest Drive, according to an incident report.

Police spoke to the 14-year-old victim, who said he was robbed when he opened his front door to someone he originally believed to be a friend of his brother, who is currently being held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center on armed robbery charges.

The victim told police he opened the door and was met by a black man brandishing a black handgun. The victim, who was holding his 1-year-old brother at the time of the incident, was forced into a rear bedroom and made to sit on a bed.

The suspect then closed the door and was heard talking to what sounded like three more people in the house. The suspects sifted through the brother’s room and left with about 13 pairs of Air Jordan sneakers, according to the report.

The suspects then entered a black sedan and were last seen traveling southbound on Crest Drive.

About 20 minutes before the robbery, the victim said, two of his brothers friends showed up at the home, telling the victim they needed to look through his brother’s room for bail money. They left without any money.

Sneakers

13 pairs of Air Jordan sneakers in one juvenile's bedroom is suspicious of something, but I can't put my finger on what it is.

So

first, we have a Hephzibah address in an area off Tobacco Road almost at the entrance to Fort Gordon.

Secondly, if big brother is at the CW detention center for armed robbery, and there are 13 pairs of Air Jordans in the closet, I would suggest Mom and Dad start doing random reviews of the bedrooms.

Jeez Louise, what are these parents doing? How about raise a kid the right way! And a 1 year old left with a 14 year old?

Daddy always said "If you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas".

No story here folks, move along, everything is normal!

13 pairs of air jordans

Just might want to find out where 13 pairs of Air Jordans came from. I would bet they were not purchased legally. Wonder where the parents were. Probably out working 2 or 3 jobs, so they could purchase more Air Jordans.

LL, this is what the dummies

LL, this is what the dummies do. They sell drugs and commit armed robberies so that they can buy Air Jordan sneakers.

What you cant put your finger on is the mentality of somebody dumb enough to do that, because you are normal and have common sense.

If the shoe fits...

If the shoes fit...wear 'em.

If 13 pairs fit...steal 'em. Maybe the bandit was in charge of outfitting a basketball team. At least he will be looking fine at his trial.

They Left With No Money

But they also left with the information that there were 13 pairs of Air Jordans in the closet. I wonder who they told, and for how much money??
