An Augusta man says he was robbed at gunpoint Friday while trying to buy marijuana, a Richmond County sheriff’s report states.
The victim told police that he called a man who goes by “E”,” who came to his house with another man and $85 worth of marijuana, the report states.
When going to pay, the victim said, he accidently pulled out two $100 bills. One of the suspects then drew a handgun and demanded the rest of the money.
The victim said he instinctively lunged for the gun. “E” left through the back door, leaving the two men struggling for the gun.
The gun fired at least once before the victim was able to dislodge the magazine. The other man bit the victim four times, leaving visible marks, the report said.
The victim said the man then picked up a stereo system and struck him over the head several times, leaving cuts and a piece of plastic in his left ear.
After getting the money and hearing police sirens, the attacker fled in a white Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows, the report said.
The victim said he does not wish to prosecute.
