At 2:16 a.m., deputies were called to the 1800 block of Formosa Drive in reference to shots fired, according to an incident report.

On arrival, they made contact with the victims, who said they had just returned home from a birthday party and were getting ready for bed when a black man, who goes by the name Slugger, kicked open the front door and fired several shots. The man then left the scene in a vehicle.

One of the victims told police she believes the incident followed a fight between the “600 Gang” and the “23rd Gang” at Club Alter Ego earlier in the night. The victim told police that no one in the house has any connection to any gangs. According to the report, deputies found several casings to 9mm bullets near the front door of the residence. Police also found several holes in the home’s interior walls and furniture.

Four people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, including a 4-year-old girl. No one was injured.

That's right where I used to

That's right where I used to live- and Countyman tried to tell me that South Augusta isn't bad.

Thank God I got out of there.

But if Ronnie Strength was

But if Ronnie Strength was still in office, he'd be insisting that there weren't any gangs in Augusta.

The only person that believed that hooey was Deke.

Livin the dream

Countyman told me the area just near here was due to become the next Washington Rd. Apparently "Slugger" did not get the memo.

Hmmmm.

They know his name is "Slugger" and all about the 600 Gang and the 23rd Gang yet no one has any connection with anything? And a four-year-old little girl was there?

Just another Saturday night

Just another Saturday night in No Man's Land. Was this before or after the Waffle House gang assault? I sure wish all of this exciting night life would relocate back downtown where it belongs. Can we come up with a Section 9 and send 'em back where they came from?

Maybe countyman

Maybe he meant all of South Augusta isn't bad. There are definitely bad parts but good parts as well.

Just a reminder, there is no

Just a reminder, there is no such place as South Augusta, GA. Formosa Drive is in the southside of Augusta-Richmond County between Bobby Jones Hwy, Peach Orchard Road and Mike Padgett Hwy, near Driver's License office and the institution that used to be called Georgia Regional Mental Hospital or something like that, I forget the new name.
