Probably just trying to

Probably just trying to convince the victim to sign up for Obamacare before the deadline.

We are in big trouble folks. This happened in a Waffle House....not some sleazy bar. All of these are grown men. Old punks. My guess is there is not a job, nor an IQ above 60 among them. A roving pack of wild animals.

We need a euthanasia program just like we have for wild dogs. In fact, I have more sympathy for the dogs. A dog CAN be rehabilitated. You cannot rehabilitate stupid.

Comment of the week

Comment of the week goes to dichotomy. That is as well said as can be. None of the 8 could carry their own water if alone.

There you go again, nocnoc....

asking the trenchant questions that the Chronicle reporters so often seem to miss.

Who, what, where, when and why?

And someone needs to ask the reporter, "Why not?"

8 on 1? Bunch of tough guys I

8 on 1? Bunch of tough guys I suppose. Could 8 men not beat the mess out of 1 in a timely enough manner to get out of there before the cops got there to arrest them? Tough and smart...double threat guys!

Jobs

While reading the names and ages, I had a thought similar to Dichotomy's above. I wondered whether any of the assailants had a job and, if so, what it was. It might be an interesting story to give a bio of each assailant for Chronicle readers to digest.

Questions / Answers

Thanks for posting back, Travis. The story up above is a breaking crime story. It has a tight deadline. The kind of story I was talking about would be investigative journalism. It can come out next week after a reporter (or more than one) has a chance to interview family members, the accused, teachers, girl friends, employers (if there are any), etc.

LL, here are the answers.

LL, here are the answers.

"He's a good boy" (family member)
"I love him, only God can judge him" (flavor of the week)
"He was one of my dropouts" (teacher)
"He only worked for me for 2 days and quit" (former employer)
"I didn't do it, they be lying on me!" (accused)
"He my homie" (friends)
"He has ___ kids that he never sees" (baby mamas)
"He's one of my best customers, he's in here all the time" (club owner)
"When he left here, we told him he'd be back" (Richmond County jailer)
"Oh yeah, we know him, alright" (any RCSO deputy)

The AC can save itself the time and trouble.

And there you go.

They are self-employed, LL.

They are self-employed, LL. As my brother used to say, "They work the night shift, stealing and burglarizing and breaking into cars and selling drugs."

I hope this ends up on YouTube. I'd like to compare it the immortal and infamous South Carolina IHOP riot which went viral a couple of years back. I doubt this latest incident will supplant the IHOP shindig, though. That included several black women swatting each other, which always adds an extra dimension to a rumble.

Yeah, it's growing all right,

Yeah, it's growing all right, that's just right down the road from where the man kicked in the door of the house on Formosa Drive and shot up the residence.

The new restaurants will give the gangbangers variety as to where to have their next fight.
