Woman charged after boyfriend stabbed

A man is in critical condition and his girlfriend in jail after a stabbing during an argument Friday morning.

Police were called just before 3 a.m. to the 2300 block of Naples Drive in Barton Village, where they found Tynell Vermong, 24, with a stab wound to the chest.

An investigation revealed that his live-in girlfriend, Shalinda Taylor, 24, had stabbed him during an argument. Taylor was booked into the Richmond County jail on charges of aggravated assault family violence and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
