Police are seeking a Warrenville man who shot another man following a domestic dispute earlier this month in Aiken County.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has obtained warrants for Christopher Thomas, 31, on charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
About 3:13 a.m. on March 8, Aiken County sheriff’s deputies and emergency medical technicians were called to Dudley Drive, where they found Thomas and James Milton, 44, of Warrenville, with gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center for treatment.
The initial investigation revealed that after a domestic dispute with his live-in girlfriend, Thomas went to Milton’s home and shot at him, and Milton returned fire, according to the release. After the investigation was completed, police determined that Thomas was the aggressor and Milton acted in defense.
