Police said a Suzuki Grand Vitara was trying to make a left turn into Family Dollar in the 2300 block of Milledgeville Road when it was hit by a Honda Accord about 1:30 p.m.

The Suzuki overturned from the impact. Four occupants, including 3- and 4-year-olds, were taken to a hospital for minor injuries. Police said the occupants were not wearing seat belts.

The driver of the Honda was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

The Suzuki’s driver was found at fault and was cited for failure to yield while turning and two counts of failure to restrain a minor.

Very lucky this wasn't worse.

Very lucky this wasn't worse. I can only imagine what it would be like for a 3 and 4 year old to be unrestrained in a vehicle while it turned over. They should have been in car seats.
