Eight Walden Drive apartments were damaged when burglars broke in and stole copper wire and appliances.

A Richmond County sheriff’s incident report filed Wednesday said a maintenance supervisor for Walden Townhomes noticed that the glass had been broken or doorknobs were missing to the eight vacant apartments.

Police said a large amount of copper and one air conditioning unit, two refrigerators and one stove were removed from the damaged dwellings.

Two witnesses told police they saw three men loitering and doing drugs near the vacant apartments last weekend.

Townhomes? You're kidding me!

Townhomes? You're kidding me! There? Really? Lotsa luck. Found a relative's stolen car up on blocks in that area many years ago. You'd think someone would know better than to put townhomes in that depressed area. BTW, Can't find a listing for "Walden Townhomes". Are they that new? Or is the name wrong in the article?
