A North Charleston man died Monday night after a single-car accident in Aiken County.

Tyler J. Major, 22, was traveling south on Highway 389 when he lost control of his 1998 Lincoln and it crashed, Aiken County coroner Tim Carlton said in a statement.

Major was not wearing a seat belt and was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Major died at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital at 8:25 p.m, the report said.

It was the fourth traffic fatality in Aiken County this year.

This guy was old enough to know that speeding and driving with out a seat belt is a recipe for disaster. Sadly his parents will be left to grieve over his mistakes.
