Three men and a woman robbed an Augusta man in his apartment Thursday, taking more than $1,100 in electronics.

Alton Fletcher, 20, said he was at his home at Millbrook Point Apartments with three friends about 11 p.m. when he heard a knock on the door, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report. A woman on the other side identified herself as Brittany and said Fletcher’s roommate sent her. Fletcher said the woman, accompanied by three men he didn’t know, forced their way in.

One of Fletcher’s friends, Leroy Thompson, 21, told his two female friends to hide in the bathroom, according to the report. One of the men then demanded that everyone come out of the bathroom or he would shoot Fletcher in the head. When Thompson walked into the hallway, the man struck him in the head with a handgun and forced him to the floor.

The three men searched the pockets of the four victims while threatening to start “shooting people,” but found no money, according to the report. They ransacked the house and took three flat-screen TVs, a PlayStation 3 and a cellphone.

A lot of ?'s begging to be answered here.

Example:
How did the crooks come to pick this apartment over all the others?
Why did they think he had $$$$ worth robbing him and risk 3-5 in jail?
The Girl decoy raises another set of questions.

Too bad we'll likely never get a followup on this,
like many other HEADLINE stories.

I am still wondering about the motive behind the Washington Rd Hotel Murder. The murder that involved the death of a convicted felon, just recently released after 10++ years in jail, that we were told, "he had turned himself around".
