Jury selection is underway for an Augusta man facing capital murder charges in a triple homicide.

Adrian Hargrove, 36, has pleaded not guilty in Richmond County Superior Court to charges that include murder, feticide and kidnapping.

He is accused of the Feb. 9, 2008, slayings of Andrew Hartley Jr., 45, his wife, Sharon Hartley, 46, and her pregnant daughter 18-year-old Allyson Pederson.

Jury selection began Monday and is expected to continue for at least the rest of the week as attorneys individually question potential jurors.

If convicted of the murder charges, the jury will be asked to set Hargrove’s sentence at life with or without the possibility of parole or death.
