GREENVILLE, S.C. — One person has died after a shooting at a Greenville birthday party.

Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans says 22-year-old Javario Santique Brooks of Greenville died at a hospital Tuesday morning. He had been shot in the abdomen.

Deputies say shots were fired during a birthday party at a mobile home just before 11 p.m. Monday. Brooks and another person were outside, and authorities say both people were shot by someone behind another mobile home.

The man hosting the party says Brooks and another man were his guests and that they got into an argument with someone outside.
