Burglars have found a different way to break into three businesses since Sunday. Pickups were used to smash in the doors, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

The first break-in occurred when a blue-and-white 1992 Ford F-150 truck stolen from a Heathers Way residence crashed through the doors of Citgo, 3735 Mike Padgett Highway sometime before 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Surveillance video showed someone in a black mask and white gloves get out of the vehicle, push over the cash registers and take cigarettes, according to an incident report.

About that same time, police were called to Rack and Grill II, 3801 Mike Padgett Highway, where the stolen truck had rammed the front doors and was abandoned.

According to an incident report, someone matching the same description tried to open and remove the ATM from inside. After failing to remove the machine, the masked bandit ran away.

About 1:30 a.m. Thursday, police were called to Manna Mart, 2228 Rosier Road, where they discovered that a white 1990s Ford pickup had backed into the business. Surveillance video showed the truck back into the store three times before the video was cut off. An ATM with an estimated $6,000 in cash was stolen.

Sgt. Michael McDaniel said he is unaware whether the truck used in Thursday’s burglary had been reported stolen.

Police are investigating to see whether all the cases are related.

So, if you see someone trying

So, if you see someone trying to steal your older model pickup truck please shoot him and save some store from having to do remodeling work. Replacing doors are expensive and we have plenty of thieves to go around even if you kill one or two.

I guess they couldn't get much of a description so my only question is were the stolen cigarettes Newports?

Come on Dichotomy, you know

Come on Dichotomy, you know good and well you cannot racial profile anymore. This is so unfair to think like that!! Just joking. Let's be politically correct and just say two individuals, saggy pants down to their knees, blackmask, white gloves and a hoodie.
