Crime tip reward offered

A $1,000 reward will be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the Jan. 25 break-in at Gate 5 Storage at 2740 Tobacco Road.

About 10 a.m., two people forced their way into the business, ransacked numerous storage units and took undisclosed items.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with Gate 5 Self Storage, is offering the reward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (706) 821-1020 during business hours. After hours, call dispatch at (706) 821-1080 and ask for the on-call investigator. Calls will be handled anonymously.
