Bond was denied Monday for a 55-year-old Augusta man who has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including child molestation.

Judge Michael N. Annis denied bond in Richmond County Superior Court for Michael Story, saying he believes Story could be a threat to the community based on the type of charges and the number of alleged victims.

Story was arrested Aug. 1 after four children ages 10 to 16 reported he had inappropriately touched two of the teen girls, showed one a sex toy and pornography, and gave all four alcohol.

Story has been indicted on three counts child molestation, two counts sexual battery, four counts furnishing alcohol to minors, one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and five counts of electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor.

Throw him in jail and throw the key away. If it was a loved one of mine he'd feel safer in jail than out on the street with me.
