This is like the old joke

The guy who did not report his credit card stolen for several months while the thief was using it. When asked why, he said it was costing him less than when his wife had it!

Hopefully she has taken over

Hopefully she has taken over a felony amount and the judge will lock her up for a couple of years when they catch her. She is probably an acquaintance or neighbor of the victim.
