Police search for missing Alzheimer's patient

The Waynesboro Police Department is searching for 77-year-old Alzheimer’s patient who walked away from her home late Thursday.

Authorities say Alzheimer's patient Letha Bennett, 77 of Waynesboro, walked away from her home on Herman Lodge Road late Thursday.
Authorities say Alzheimer's patient Letha Bennett, 77 of Waynesboro, walked away from her home on Herman Lodge Road late Thursday.

Letha Bennett, of Herman Lodge Road, was last seen at her home Thursday, and police believe she may have left between 9 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday, said Kathy Tuckey, the program director of the Augusta region for the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Waynesboro Police Department at (706) 554-8029.
