Juan Carlos Gamboa, 52, who owns Gamboa Veterinary Services at 475 Gamboa Place, has been accused of committing unlawful acts on two Hispanic 8-year-old boys over a three-month period in 2013, according to an Aiken County sheriff’s news release.

Gamboa surrendered to investigators at 11 a.m. Thursday and has been booked into the Aiken County Detention Center on two counts of lewd acts upon a child under 16.

According to Gamboa Veterinary Services, Gamboa has dedicated his practice to the treatment of performance and show horses for 23 years. He is also licensed to offer services in Florida, Mississippi and the Carolinas.

The practice is run by Gamboa, his wife and his mother-in-law.

Interesting that the AC

Interesting that the AC reports the race (Hispanic) of the victims. If the boys who were harmed were black or white or Asian, the AC would be silent about that. Is the penalty greater if someone harms Hispanic children? Is it less? Do they teach relevancy in journalism school? Is the race of the victims relevant?

GAD, yes, it is relevant.

GAD, yes, it is relevant.

Because many molesters prefer a certain "type" of child.

Race or gender or any other characteristic does not make a child any more or less vulnerable or worthy of protection.
If found guilty, I hope he rots in jail.

I don't know why that description was added. It would have been quite enough to have just used "child" or "children".
