Police have arrested an Augusta man and woman who they say played a role in three robberies last week.

Damien Damar Williams, 24, of Ramblewood Drive, and Yasmine Davee Escartin, 22, of Deen Avenue, have been charged with felony counts of aggravated assault and robbery by sudden snatching, and two felony counts of armed robbery, according to Richmond County jail records. Williams faces additional charges of felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police say the two were involved in the Friday robbery outside Wife Saver on North Leg Road, where an employee was approached by two black men who stole her purse, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Williams and Escartin are also accused of being involved in a second robbery Friday near the intersection of Parham Way and Sibley Road. According to an incident report, a man told police he was approached by two black men who demanded money before hitting him twice in the face with a gun and robbing him.
The two also are suspected in a Saturday robbery. Jaraad Malik Hazel was shot in the back during the robbery and was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center for treatment, according to an incident report.

Evil Pair

They are an evil pair robbing and shooting innocent people. Two of their known crimes were violent. They were on a rampage of wickedness and attempting murder, shooting one victim in the back. They should never see light outside of prison again. Richmond County is a much safer place with them off the streets. Good work, RCSO.

Suspects: Two men

I'm confused. If the suspects were two men then why was the woman arrested? There is nothing in any of the three crimes committed that says anything about a woman. Sounds like they need to be looking for the other suspect. Hint...A man!
