  • Follow Crime & courts

A man was shot in the leg at the Murphy Crossing apartment complex Wednesday afternoon.

About 5 p.m., two black men approached the victim, who was not identified, as he was standing near the entrance of a building at the apartment complex off Deans Bridge Road, according to Richmond County Sheriff’s Investigator Glen Rahn.

When the suspects showed a handgun, the victim began to run away and was shot. The victim was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, Rahn said.

The suspects were last seen running toward the rear of the apartments, Rahn said.

There needs to be a Law against Leg Shootings

We have too many people in ARC being shot in the legs.
But it does help keep the Murder rate down.

But just the same I do hope he heals up.

BTW: Victim got a name?
